They’ve always supported my development and gave me opportunity to progress as a coach.”

Beth Lancaster

Senior Respiratory Physiologist.

“I started with PE Partner during my first year of university whilst studying Sport & Exercise Science.

PE partner gave me the opportunity to coach in many schools across West Yorkshire and also supported me through my level 2 coaching qualification.

I loved working with PE Partner and I’m grateful for all the opportunities it gave me that helped me to develop not only as a coach but an individual too. A lot of the skills I built whilst working there I still use to this day.”

We are incredibly proud to have been a stepping stone on Beth’s path.

Elliott Flowers

Trust Lead of Football Development with the Maltby Learning Trust and I2CF & UEFA C tutor,

“I started at PE partner during my university degree at Leeds Beckett University. It was a fantastic opportunity to apply the learning from the course with practical experiences in some fantastic primary schools around Leeds. I was able to experience both primary school PE and holiday club delivery, which challenged and developed me as a coach.

I would recommend PE Partner to anyone, whether coaching is new to you or you have a vast amount of experience to share with the 1,000’s of young people they work with. Gareth and Nick will be supportive, positive and find you opportunities to propel your coaching knowledge. I couldn’t recommend this phenomenal staff team enough.”

Tom Davidson

Active Row Leeds Programme Manager

“When I started working for PE partner, I had no experience of coaching the younger age of kids that attend the holiday clubs I was working at.

It gave me the confidence and ability to run a range of different multi skills/sports sessions, and to coach and speak to younger children which I had found difficult before I worked for Gareth and Nick.

I would recommend working for PE Partner to any aspiring coaches. It is a fantastic environment to learn new coaching skills under the guidance of some great coaches and very good management.“

Susannah Hall

Team Leader for Kirklees active Lesiure in Huddersfield

“I first started coaching at PE Partner in my second year of University where I studied Physical Education at LeedsBeckettUniversity PE Partner was a fantastic company to work for alongside Nick and Gareth and was flexible around my studies. I was given opportunities to work across a variety of schools in Leeds which gave me experience and skills which I’ll use in any role I pursue. Nick and Gareth were extremely supportive throughout my time at PE Partner and helped me develop my coaching skills and knowledge.”

Sam Cleaver

Myerscough College Rugby, Strength and Conditioning Coach & Progress Coach With Sale Sharks DPP and Head Coach with Preston Grasshoppers Women's RUFC

“I started working for PE partners as I started my MSc at Leeds Beckett and it gave me a real challenge in an environment I had worked in previously but in a different sense as I was classed as a teacher.

All the experiences that I had in multiple schools and through covid, I had the support from Nick and Gareth, as well as some good times with other coaches working with them in the holiday camps.

It has now led me to working in FE as well as doing my PGCE to become a lecturer in sport and helping me with my other coaching endeavours.”

Sam Raper

University of Virginia Women's Soccer Assistant Coach & Goalkeeper Coach at / US Soccer U23 WYNT Goalkeeper Coach / UEFA B Goalkeeper Coaching License

I started with PE Partner while I was studying Sports Coaching at Leeds Becket University. It provided me a perfect opportunity to apply some of the content from my degree into practice, as well as learning from other great educators around Leeds. The experiences of working in Primary School PE and holiday/after school clubs challenged me to work in different environments, as well as with sports I was not as familiar with coaching/teaching. Gareth and Nick were tremendously helpful and supportive in allowing me to gain these experiences with PE Partner and provided me a platform to continue my learning as a coach while I lived and worked in West Yorkshire. I am thankful for them trusting in me and recommend any young or aspiring coaches/teachers to utilize PE Partner to help them in their journey.

We’ve been helping children to be more active for over 15 years and we are really proud of what we do and of the team we have, so if we have played a part in your journey and you would like to add your voice to this page, please get in touch.
